Since U8 I've heard many complaints about matches not having enough garrisons. In U8 garrisons now have to be 200m apart from each other instead of 100. That means if you want enough garrisons to defend and attack at the same time you now have to be more strategic about placing them. You can still get the same amount of garrisons per point as you could in U7. The grids on your map are 200m by 200m, which means you have to have 1 grid between each garrison. The easiest way to check the distance between where you want to place a garrison and where you already have one is to open your map and ping the existing garrison close the map and check your ping for distance. The above picture will show you how you can equally space garrisons apart and still have garrisons to defend and attack at the same time. If you look closely you sell a grid between each garrison whether its north, south, east, or west. Now keep in mind that the above picture is how to space garrisons apart. These garrisons may not be tactically correct. This will have to be a team effort between the Commander and Sl's to strategize about where the supplies are placed. Now you might find that where the supplies are isn't an optimum garrison spot. Maybe you think it's too open or too easy for the enemy to find. Remember that you can quickly put up a wall or any type of fortification that you think will keep your teammates safe while spawning. It's also not as easy for enemies to destroy your garrisons as it use to be. It takes a little more time and effort now. The fortification can easily help you dispatch the threat to your garrison when you spawn. The few seconds it takes to plan where you want a garrison now and where you want the next one can win you the match! Don't limit your team to one per point. The more garrisons the better!!!

If you wanted to make place this picture in this post, let me know. I can help. Here's the image as, I suspect, it was intended:
Yes, sir!
This makes a lot of sense to me! I think the hardest part, personally, with the changes is just remembering the 200m distance requirements, and I don't have a great sense of how far this. It's also really awkward when someone puts a garrison right on the point...
